Intro. to Machine Embroidery

Tickets for this Event are Sold Out

DETAILS

Learn the art of machine embroidery! This introductory class teaches the basic principles of how to prepare your workpiece and stitch out a design using the Brother SE-400 sewing machine.

Topics covered in this class include:

  • Identifying parts of the sewing machine and setting it for embroidery

  • Preparing your workpiece using different stabilizers, attachment methods, and hoops

  • Selecting and loading design patterns, including text and frames

  • Adjusting the design layout, including size, position, and rotation

  • Threading the machine

  • Stitching the design

Note: This is the certification class for the Brother SE-400 sewing machine and is the prerequisite for all other machine embroidery classes taught at TinkerMill, including the certification class for the 6-needle Baby Lock EMP6.

No previous sewing or embroidery experience is needed. In fact, this class is a good way to learn the basics of sewing machine operation in a fun, easy setting where the machine does most of the work for you!

This class is open to the public. The cost is $45 for TinkerMill members and $60 for non-members. All materials are included.
