Pottery Studio Certification

Registrations are closed

Certification is not required to attend skill building and project based classes. Certification allows for independent use of the studio.

After taking the certification members will have access to the studio 24/7. Non-Members are welcome to take this class and then register for a clay lab to use the studio independently. Non-members can only access the studio during registered class times or during clay lab. If you are planning to become a member of TinkerMill we recommend you do that prior to registering for the class to receive your 25% discount.

In this class we will cover the policies and procedures of our studio, make a pinch pot, and learn our process for glazing.

This class used to be two separate classes. If you attended a studio cert or glaze cert in the past, please contact the instructor to modify the price so you only pay for the half you have not done.

The instructors for this class are Aubrey Maryniak and Sima Pierce depending on the week - to contact either instructor please send an email to pottery@tinkermill.org

Children age 14-18 are welcome to work independently in the studio once certified but a guardian must remain onsite. The guardian is ultimately responsible to make sure the cleanup procedures are being followed, so they must also be certified. We also welcome younger children but they must be supervised in the studio at all times. Children under the age of 14 do not require certification, but the supervising guardian must be certified.
