Pottery Wheel for Beginners I

Registrations are closed

Pottery Wheel for Beginners I
This class meets twice a week for three weeks.
These six 2 hour classes cover the basics of throwing clay using the potter’s wheel. This class is intended for those with no experience but would also be good for someone returning to clay after an extended break.
The course focus is on developing good skills with wedging clay, centering on the wheel, and pulling walls, in order to create a successful, functional, piece.
In addition to learning to create the base form on the wheel, you will also learn how to trim it, do surface decoration, and finish with glazing.

This is a 3 week long class meeting twice a week. If you would like a one day a week class please check out our other class which runs once a week for 6 weeks.

All pottery classes require a minimum of two registrants to proceed. If less than two are registered the night before the class, the class will be canceled and you will have the option to receive a refund or reschedule to a future class.

Dates: Tues/Thur 01/09/24 - 01/25/24 Time: 2-4pm
There is a $25 materials fee collected at the beginning of the first class.
Please wear clothes you can get muddy.

The class is 1.5 hours of work time and 30 minutes of clean up. The first class may go long due to learning the clean up process.

Cancelation policy.
Full refund if canceled seven days prior to class, half refund if canceled three days prior to class. No refund after three days or for no-shows.

All Pottery classes require a minimum of 2 registrations to proceed. If there are less than two registered the class will be canceled and you will be offered a full refund or a transfer of registration to another class of equal value.
